One of my favorite quotes is: “As a person, you are the sum of your thoughts, your habits, your desires, your fears, your thoughts. The past is a dead letter of knowledge.
Yes, exactly.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard that quote so many times, but it’s my favorite line from Alan Partridge. I love this quote. I love it so much because it’s not a quote, it’s not even a statement, it’s something that makes me feel alive and awake. It’s a quote from Alan Partridge, an English actor who played the lead in a number of top-grossing British TV shows and movies, including Doctor Who.
Thats right, Alan Partridge was a top-grossing British actor, and he lived to tell the tale. He was born in 1937, and he died in 2011, at the age of 84. He was a great actor, and I’m hoping that he’ll be a great actor for us, too.
Alan Partridge’s quote is about how he felt when he was told by his mother that God was watching him, and he was asked, “Who would be watching me?”. That line, as it happens, is from a British sitcom called Thumbs Up, which was created by Alan Partridge himself. I really wish I had a copy of Alan’s quote, because it really made me smile.
I don’t know if there is any greater pleasure than a great movie quote. Even when it’s a lousy movie, like, my favorite movie is the one where I go out to dinner with my girlfriend. That movie would be Better Off Dead.
That’s because it’s the only movie quote I have memorized. It’s from the opening scene of the movie, “I would like to meet the boy from the blue car”. In that scene, the blue car is a car that looks like the car my grandmother drives.
That’s because that’s a great movie quote, so of course I have memorized it. I’ll never forget it for the rest of my life.
In Better Off Dead, the blue car is also the car my grandmother drives. In that sense, the blue car is a symbol of the best qualities of the protagonist. That’s why the blue car is the car my grandmother drives in the opening scene.
Like my grandmother, the blue car is a symbol of the best qualities of the protagonist. Thats why the blue car is the car my grandmother drives in the opening scene.
