This law of osmotic pressure is all about the fact that water and salt aren’t in the same places. This law is known as the law of osmosis and is what allows water and salt to move from one place to another.
The law of osmosis states that some substances (like salt) will be absorbed by water (like in a bathtub). They will then diffuse into the water and float on top. When you add water to a solution (like in your bathtub) you have a “liquid” solution of water and salt. When you put salt into water it will also diffuse into the water. When you then transfer water to salt-water it creates a “solid” solution of water and salt.
Of course, this law of osmosis is also sometimes referred to as the law of salt. It simply means that if you put salt into salt-water it will float on top. If you then put salt into water it will also diffuse into the water.
I like to think of this law of osmotic pressure as the law of a good osmosis system. Basically, it’s how water distributes between the various parts of the body. For instance, when you are doing your body’s best to keep you whole and healthy, salt water is distributed evenly throughout the body. Salt water and salt-water are similar in this regard.
This is why we don’t “taste” salt. If we could just “taste” salt then we would all be on Deathloop. We would be able to tell if it’s salt or not and we would have a better idea of when and where a particular osmotic concentration is occurring.
What’s the difference between salt and other water-soluble substances? It’s a real mystery. But there’s no mystery with water. In fact, there’s a lot of it.
