One of the main reasons why law school recruits are so bad is the low pay. The pay is not even close to the top tier. It is a meager $60,000 a year. The reason why it is so bad is because the recruiters are not actually qualified to do the work. They are not working for law school, but for a company that has the goal of recruiting law school graduates.
Companies go to law school because they can hire the most expensive and best lawyers, and the people who work for them do not have the time to put in the hours necessary to earn the salary they want. It is not just poor management of the recruiting process, but the fact that they are not qualified to actually do the work. This is why law school recruitment is so bad.
The problem with law school recruitment is no more than a bad joke. I am sure the company would not get a job from any of their former students. It is also not working because the people they are recruiting and who they are hiring are not qualified.
The recruiting process is the biggest problem that law schools have. When the person that you are recruiting is not qualified to do the work, you are not really recruiting anyone. The recruiters are just trying to fill a void.
