The National Law University, (NLSU) in Kolkata, India, was founded by Shri Narottam Mishra in 1965. It was the first institution in the country to be exclusively managed by an Act of Parliament. Today the institute operates in all cities and towns in India.

The mission of the institute is to impart knowledge to the students in all disciplines of law. They are also known as the “Law Education Institute.” The NLSU has a huge student body, and is the first law school in India to boast a student body of more than four lakh students. They provide the training in the following areas: Criminal Law, Civil Law, Civil Procedure, Probate, and Commercial Law.

The institute also has an accreditation and a degree awarding body. The NLSU acts as the accreditation body for the course in Civil and Commercial law. The institute is a member of the Association of Indian Law Schools (AILS). The institute has a student body of more than four lakh students. I don’t know anything about the accreditation of the institution.

I would like to ask the institute to provide me with some official information regarding the accreditation.

The institute claims to have an accreditation from the Association of Indian Law Schools. So, it isn’t completely surprising that the institute has students from various law schools in the country. What I don’t understand is this institute claiming it has an AILS accreditation (which is the same as the AICL accreditation).

According to the AILS website, they have a very specific accreditation program. For example, the accreditation they offer is for “a nationally recognised institution of legal education in India”, which isn’t the AICL accreditation program. So I am not at all surprised that the institute has students from various law schools in the country.

This sounds like a legitimate accreditation, but I dont know what an AILS accreditation is.

AILS is the same as the AICL accreditation. AILS is a national accreditation which is one step up from the AICL accreditation.

The two accreditation programs are actually different. The accreditation program is for you to get the best experience for each student, but the AILS accreditation program is for everyone to get the best experience for each student. This means that a student who is not in school for a long time will most likely not get the best experience for that long time.

I guess that is why the AILS accreditation is for people who have actually been in school for a long time.
