I’m going to call this one “negative deviation” because it’s not about what you did.
I do think the idea of negative deviation from raoult’s law is important because it shows you that the law is not a “law” in the sense that you can break it. It is more like a guiding principle that says, “if this is going to happen, this is going to happen.” In other words, “if this is going to happen, that is going to happen”.
It’s as if there is a set of rules that says, “if you put yourself in situations that cause you to have negative deviations from these rules, you will eventually go back to doing what you were doing.
If you are going to do that, you’re going to be able to get your way. If you don’t go, you aren’t going to get any more. If it’s not going to happen, you are going to be in trouble. If it is going to happen, you are going to be stuck in a time loop.
Negative deviations are a pretty common thing in video games, but they are still pretty extreme. There are very few video games that actually kill you, and generally these games are designed so that you can beat them in your own game. What is normally referred to as the “raoult’s law” is that if you put yourself in a situation that results in you having negative deviations from the rules of the game, you will eventually go back to doing what you were doing.
In the raoults law, negative deviations are like a moral compass: if you have a situation that you could be better at, you will always make the right choice. If you don’t, you will be killed. And if you have a situation that you can’t handle and you can’t make your choice, that’s a good thing. Sometimes you can be perfect, but other times you can get stuck in a time loop.
In the case of Deathloop, the game has a negative deviation from the raoult’s law. That is, if you run out of health before you need to go on, you will eventually die. This is a bad thing. You can’t be perfect, you can’t avoid dying, and there will always be more enemies than you can handle.
The thing is, Deathloop will be extremely difficult to beat. The game will be made of a combination of procedurally-generated levels, AI-controlled characters, and a story that you will need to figure out on your own (which might be a good thing). But I don’t think the game will be easy to beat because this is a game that wants you to figure things out for yourself. The challenge will be in finding the right decisions to solve the puzzles as quickly as possible.
As I mentioned in my review of the game’s predecessor Arkane, the game will be difficult. It will be difficult because it is designed to require you to solve puzzles and to make you feel like you are a master of a particular game genre. But by the same token, it is also designed to reward you for your hard work as you try to unravel a mystery. Deathloop is about finding your own method to solve puzzles.
The first and the most important question of the game is what sort of methods you’ll use during the game. The most important way to solve puzzles is to find the right answers. So the main strategy is to find the right answers to the puzzles and to find the answers from the answers.
